There are some search engine optimization firms that use this phrase to get business. Beware of this kind of companies. Therefore, beware of those search engine firms that approach you directly.

These companies might be using black methods to achieve high ranking on search engines. Your website will rank high in the search engines. But it will only be a while.

Once the search engines discovered that your website is using black method. They will remove your website.

Beside that, the search engines will also blacklist your website. So it will be difficult to get your website to rank in these search engines again.

There are some search engine optimization firms that approach you directly. They might be scam firms.

Here are some tips to take note:

- Be wary of SEO firms and web consultants or agencies that send you email out of the blue
- No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.
- Be careful if a company is secretive or won’t clearly explain what they intend to do.
- You should never have to link to an SEO.
- Some SEOs may try to sell you the ability to type keywords directly into the browser address bar.
- Choose wisely.
- Be sure to understand where the money goes.
- Talk to many SEOs, and ask other SEOs if they’d recommend the firm you’re considering.
- Make sure you’re protected legally.
